Rio Salado Behavioral Health Systems, Inc., (Rio BHS) is an Arizona non-profit, 5O1-C-3 Tax-exempt, community-based Agency. The agency is licensed by the Arizona Department of Health Services, Office of Behavioral Health Licensure, as an Outpatient Clinic to provide the following services: Title XIX/XXI, Child/Adolescent, Adults, Elderly Services, and Outpatient Treatment Services that include: individual/group, family counseling, behavioral management, assessment, evaluation, diagnosis, home-based counseling, DUI alcohol services, and court ordered misdemeanor domestic violence offender treatment program services. Medication monitoring and adjustment services are part of the continuum of care.

Rio's focus is on developing:

1) Community-based programs and services to work with groups of youth and their families.
2) Treatment programs for youth who abuse drugs or are dependent on alcohol or other addictive substances, have behavioral or mental health problems and

3) Programs to assist families and children, where such families have limited English-speaking ability to participate in available treatment or health promotion programs.

Rio Salado Behavioral Health Systems works with the support from the courts, cities/town managers/councils, law- enforcement, other community agencies, community residents and private sector businesses to insure a greater impact in attaining the Agency goals and objectives. Rio Salado delivers the services that it is licensed to provide specifically targeting Latino youth and families in the greater Maricopa County area.

 

Rio is developing and strengthening its infrastructure more effectively to serve children and families in Maricopa County. Rio uses its' resources to expand its service delivery capacity.
